SCRIPT EXCERPTS

                                                                          We were pilgrims. Birthed upon the shores of a new land.  
                                                             A force of life hurled like waves thrust upon the edge of the sea.

                                                             We were a dream of the cosmos. Conceived by mystical beings,
                                                             and brought forth by the balance of who we were, and what we 
                                                             could become.

                                                              We were baptized by the majesty of magic. Newly reborn and 
                                                              descended from long lost legends of the past.

                                                              We were the flesh of life, held together by the echos of
                                                              forgotten dreams.

                                                              We were like smoldering flames, ready to blaze into what was
                                                              improbable, but possible. 
                                                             
                                                              We were pilgrims.

My brethren. My fellow
survivors-

(pause)

Of all races and religions.

For
today's word it is vital that you put aside our differences and accept
the
'meaning' of what I am about say.

(pause)

In your
own way, and within the terms of your own beliefs, please value my
words.

   (LONG PAUSE)

I have had a
revelation!

(pause)

Amongst us are a group of blessed people.
The ones you have named- THE SOULLESS.

(pause)

I tell you now. I
was wrong. They are NOT
'soulless'.

(voice and energy
rises)

They are nothing less than the HAND- OF- GOD!

God
summoned them, and they were received by them- blessed by him.

PAUSES
(Voice suddenly louder)

Then they were sent back to us! Away from the
living- only for a moment,
  then sent back by God to fight the demons- to
fight the evil! To fight
the devil and his minions- the living
dead.

(Voice becomes reverent)

The
soulless?


(pause)

No. They were sent to us as angels.

They are our
defenders, our saviors.

(LONG PAUSE)

Twelve years ago- By the
hand of evil- the apocalypse came.

(pause)

And as it came the
demons attacked our children.

(pause)

They took the most
innocent amongst
us first. My own children amongst them.


(pause)

Then they used the children as weapons- and took the
rest.

(LONG PAUSE)

Now there is only us- and them- 'The
SOULLESS' as you've named
them.

(pause)

Those words- 'The
Soulless'- must now be used without insult and without fear.


(pause)

For these people- the 'angels' need our love- they need YOUR
prayers.

(pause)

There will be NO more gifts to them out of
obligation'' or out of fear from a lack of
understanding.


(pause)

Give them all they need to fight for us. To let them live full
and happy lives- as they fight for God.

(VOICE SLOWLY RISES)


They are our saviors! And they WILL defeat the demons!

(LONG PAUSE.
VOICE STILL ENERGETIC. CONFIDENT)
